I am back

Well, I got back from St Maarten last night at around 2 A.M. I have been keeping up at least a little bit about what was goin on in the world while I was down there. But all we had was CNN for news and it was just frustrating watching that.
But the Cardinals won the World Series and we got to watch the games down there. And I had thougt they had no hance. They had an up and down season and it loos like they had an up in the playoffs and the Worlds Series.
And I got to see the non-stop Rush-Fox tiff all day long. I mean is that really news. Rush apologized the next day and CNN would not let it go and kept on having it on all day long. Along with Dick Cheney’s "waterboarding" answer to a question on the radio.
I don;t really want to get into all of these things, because they are proably already talked about exstensively already in the blogosphere.
But I will try yo get back into things here over this week. and keep the elections in mind for next week.
I am currently trying to get my pictures form the trip on my yahoo photos page. So it will probably slow posting today and maybe even tomorrow with family’s pics also.
Also there is a Traffic Jam at Outside the Beltway

I will be on vacation next week
I am going to St. Maarten next week so blogging will be light. I really don’t think I will be blogging down there at all. I don.t have a laptop yet so I will probably just get online at a internet cafe r something while I am down there.
I probably won;t be able to watch the Cards in thenWorld Series also. Maybe I might have to spend some time at a bar down there for that.
I might blog a little at home before I go, but if not I will see you when I get back.

Politics isn’t like that. There are no life giving moments. The more I know about it the more I am astounded that we have anyone of character or substance in office. Left or right. Why would anyone who has a good life want to be in office? It’s too mean, too easliy corrupted, and sometimes truth doesn’t matter. My father refused to run for Governor so many years ago. Now I understand why.

I have to agree with her. Why would anyone in their right mind wnat to go into politics. There is corruption at all levels and no one seems to wnat to get rid of it. Left or Right, Democrat or Republican, all have corrupt poiticioners. No matter where you go you see that incumbents have crved out fiefdoms that they control over. And witht the McCain-Finegold Bill it has just gotten worse. Money is not out of politics, more and more money goes into the system and nothing good comes out. Incumbents have got to be so terrible or arrested to be voted out in the system we have now.
This in no way means I am going to quit blogging or even advocate for conservative politicioners. I am a conservative with a libertarian bent on alot of theings. But Republican are closer to my ideology. So I will vote for them and hopefully they will stay in power.
I wish all the luck and hopefully Right Wing Sparkle will have a good life. Maybe (hopefully) she might come back some day. I know that I quit blogging for a while because I was so bloggedout, but I came back. Hopefully she will do the same.

Happy Blogoversary Captain’s Quarters
Captain’s Quarter turns 3 years old today. It is one of the first blogs that I read everyday. Captain Ed is a very good writer and has a very good blog. I wish his blog a Blogoversary and many more to come. He is one of the people that has kept me goin on my blog. Not that I really have talked to him or ever really met him, but he in on the blog everyday. He is there when he is sick and overwhelmed with work. I wish I was half as dedicated as he is to his blog, as you see I usually take the whole weekends off. He is to you Captain Ed.
And on other achievements, The Anchoress has reached 2 million hits. Congratulations.

New Scam on the Internet
Thanks to The Jawa Report for the head’s up. I still can’t believe that they actually are sending these kinds of email scams out. I can not believe anyone would actually respond or take any of theses seriously. If you do, you should be kept away from the interenet and put into a padded cell.

I just got this e-mail message from "Miriam Kofi". Her father was bombed by the evil Zionist J-O-Os in Lebanon. Of course, now she’s in the Ivory Coast where the daughters of several disposed dictators solicit me for money fortnightly. Send her money so she can go to school in the USA. She swears this is not a scam. I believe her. Now excuse me while I go take my pet Sasquatch out for a walk.

Stx Blog New and improved??
Well, if you have been here before, you can see that I have changed a little bit. I was getting tired of the old theme, so I decided to change. I like how the post is wider now and looks a little cleaner. But I have to work on some things still. The sidebar is a littel smaller so some of the pictures are cut off a little bit. So I am going to have to reduce their sizes. So bare with me on the changes.
I will also be trying to figure out style sheets and other webmaster talents here also. So it might be a while before I get it right and steady. So please bare with me. And if anyone can give me some good advice or places where I can learn webmastering better please email me
