Andrew Klavan: Liberal Fantasies vs. Reality, Can you Spot the Difference?
Andrzejewski Metro East Rally Press Release
Well, the primaries here are coming up soon, (Feb.2) and there is a big fight for the GOP nominee. And I have not really made up my mind yet on who I am going to vote for. But Andrzewski has looked very good and he is coming by O’Fallon on Sunday for a rally. I am going to try and make it, it is always fun at these kind of rallies, and having most of the Tea Party behind him in the area will make it a fun event to go and see.
They are going to have a blogger’s row for the event also, so some of the local bloggers will be there to cover the event. I will be there if I go.
Here is a press release for the event:

MOVEON.ORG does not want free abortions
Then why do they want Obamacare, it will pay for abortions. That is part of the bill.
Who is Ellie Light
She seems to live everywhere and likes to write letters to the editor all over the place. And also write the same exact thing. HMMMM Astroturf??? or coincidence that there are many Ellie Lights and like to write the same things.
A rather mysterious person submitted the exact same letter to the editor (LTE) for publication indozens of newspapers across the nation. Locally, the Northeast Times and Philly Daily News printed this LTE. I know from experience that one must a identify a neighborhood when submitting an LTE to the Northeast Times. Was it an innocent oversight or an intentional act on the part of the editors? It’s not quite spring, yet one can smell the astroturf!
Is this Axelrod’s new pen name??????
****Update
Looks like there is a lot of Astroturfing goin on all over the country now. And Ellie Light is not the only one, has Axelrod got a multiple personality now. He is the master of Astroturfing.

****Update
I guess Ellie Light was not Axelrod, but a weirdo from California acting as his wife, who he says he is not married to, but she says they are. Good Lord, what do they put in the water in Cali

Nexus One

As I said in the earlier quick review, I give the Nexus One a big thumbs up.
There are many things to like about the Nexus One. The speed of the internet compared to the Pearl I had is like night and day, and it is also a full browser. Also I love the WiFi connection ability, even thopugh the 3G connectivity is pretty fast also. The only problem with the 3G or T-Mobile connectivity is in my house if I am in the basement. But any phone will have problems connecting there, I have not had a phone work that well there anyway.
The iPhone may have more apps in their market, but how many apps can you have. I have many for traveling, such as the DC Metro app for when I am in DC later this year for CPAC. And many others for sports scored, and even one to steam up the screen on the phone. So the Android Marlet has pretty much anything you want. I still have not really tried any of the games, but I am sure there are many good ones there also.
The Phone itself works great as a phone. I can hear clearly the voice on the other line and the best thing it has is the microphone noise cancellation, so the people on the other end can hear better if you are in a loud place. So as just a phone it works as good or better than most other phones.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
1. The screen is very clear and you have 5 home screens to place all of the apps you want to use to easily find them
2. The great web browser that displays a full website, now using wap. I am sure that some of the other new phones are just as good also
3. With a 5 megapixels camera, the pictures you can take are very good. And if I want a better picture I can always use my digital camera.
4, I can also use WPtogo app to post on the various blogs I post to that use the Word Press platform
Cons:
1: Battery life is not that good. On my old Pearl I did not have to charge it for about 2 days usually, but with all the power and apps on the Nexus One, it is going to use battery life faster.
2: The spealers are on the back of the phone. So it sounds better if you have the phone laying on a table better than holdoing it up. But to listen to musio, it is better to use the ear phones anyway.
3. This is a con for now, but the online keyboard is hard to get use to. But I am sure that eventually it will get easier.
But the Nexus One is an excellent phone for anyone that wants to have a powerful phone for using the internet. Google Maps also is very good on the phone and with the GPS you can find almost anything you want to visit.
I have not gotten paid for any of this review and have no connection to Google or HTC.
TSA agents, Full Body Scanners and Terrorists, oh my….
After the Christmas Undie Bandit, there has been a lot of discussion over how to stop the next attempt. Over at Blonde Sagacity, I have been in a lively discussion over the use of Full Body Scanners and other methods of combating the next Undie Bandit.
I know some of you may not agree with me and that is all fine, but I think that we should use the Full Body Scanners.
For all those of you that think that it is a invasion of privacy, I do not agree. If you do not want to go through the scanner, you do not have to and can take a train or a bus. You do not have a right to fly, it is choice. And if you are a businessman and need to fly, I also have to do things for work I do not like, but I do them because it is my job. If I do not want to do them anymore, I can find another job. And for businessmen, there are many technologies out there that you can use instead of flying. Webinars, Video Conferencing and various other technologies that are cheaper then flying all the time in the first place.
Some of the arguments against using the Full Bodt Scanners have been interesing and I can see working, but not on a national scale such as the USA
First we got the behavioral analyst. Well that is all well and good, but how do you go through everyone one at an airport such as the one in Atlanta. It is the busiest airport in the world. And if you know anything about clandestine warfare, faking out people is very easily done if you are trained correctly.
Next up is the asking of questions at secutity and looking for nervous people. Well another well and good plan, but what about people that are nervous in nature, such as a bipolar person, or schizophrenic. And another method that if correctly trained you can fly through with flying colors.
And then another was having people armed on flights. Another good method, but can a bomb go off before someone even knows what is happening. Did anyone know about the Undie Bandit before he was on fire and heard a cracking sound.
I know many of you will say tha this is against my liberty. Well I say that is false also. Are they stopping you from flying???? No. If you do not want to go through the scanners can you not travel??? Yes, there is trains, busses and automobiles.
All I am saying that in a time of war, which I think we are in, is it the best to use all the technology at hand to prevent another attack. And with many of the other methods, such as the asking of questions, fo you really want to arrive, for a flight that lasts 45 minutes, 4 or 5 hours before the flight leaves. Because that is what will happen. Just go through customs in Miami, NYC, Atlanta to find out.
I would much rather have this technoloogy than the use of a human, human are bound to have errors. And I want to arrive at my destination in one piece while being able to go to the restroom on the last hour of the flight, or listen to music that last hour, or even sleep under a blanket for the last hour of a flight.
And for a demonstration of PETN, which is what the Undie Bomber and the Shoe Bomber used which can be snuck through metal detectors:
Detcord (20g PETN)
What do you think????
