Hoffman campaign staffer Yates Walker interview
Matchamaker extraodinaire Stacey McCain has gotten an interview with a Hoffman staffer. Why is he not setting me up with someone??? Well, he is trying to get Alyssa Milano to follow me on Twitter.
Dede Scozzafava drops out
Geez on a Saturday of usual relaxation, we have a big story coming out of the #NY23 race. Dede Scozzafava has dropped out of the race after Doug Hoffman suges in the polls and is neck and neck with Owens.
I just hope that this will give some pause in the RNC for baking Liberal Republicans in very Conservative districts in the future. Dede was not supported by the base of Republicans in the Ny 23 District and Hoffman should have been the GOP’s candidate in the first place.

Breaking news: DeDe has dropped out of the race here in the NY-23. A source close to the Hoffman campaign confirms to 73wire.com that DeDe Scozzafava has bowed out of the race. According to reports she got very emotional while addressing her supporters and thanking them for their support. Stay tuned to 73wire for more details and audio of Dede addressing supporters.
From the Watertown Daily Times
Dede Scozzafava, the Republican and Independence parties candidate, announced Saturday that she is suspending her campaign for the 23rd Congressional District and releasing all her supporters.
The state Assemblywoman has not thrown her support to either Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate, or Bill Owens, the Democratic candidate.
“Today, I again seek to act for the good of our community,” Ms. Scozzafava wrote in a letter to friends and supporters. “It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.”

This just shows that the Conservative Movement is alive and well. We do have the power to change the local elections and bring back some sanity in DC and the RNC.

This is a pretty good video from Chuck Devore
Stimulus? It's In there!
Great Commercial by Chuck Devore over the Porkulus Package.
Another First in this year’s elections
This time it is the first Vietnamese born voted into CONgress. Cao ousted “Mister Freezer Bags of Money” William Jefferson. Anh “Joseph” Cao is a Catholic and was at one time wasstudying to be a Jesuit Priest, but eventually left. Flanked by his father in a wheel chair at his acceptance speech. His father spent time in a re-education camp in Vietnam before they came to America.
This is a great victory for the Vietnamese Community and also the Catholic Communuity. Along with fellow Catholic Bobby Jindal, Louisianna has elected some very good candidates. I wish Cao well and hopefully he will not get corrupted by Washington. But at this time, I want to congratulate him on his victory.
The Dream, “Well and Alive”
Behind the scenes at last month’s November meeting, one well-regarded
Louisiana prelate didn’t need much (OK, any) prodding to praise the
state’s wunderkind Republican governor — Bobby Jindal, a convert from Hinduism widely mentioned as a 2012 ticket-topper — to the heavens. And, now, said dear bishop likely finds himself with even more to love.
In a runoff yesterday, a heavily-African American, two-thirds Democratic New Orleans district made history by electing Republican Anh “Joseph” Cao, an immigration lawyer, as the nation’s first-ever member of Congress from the Vietnamese community.—Whispers in the Loggia
Obama and Camelot
Interesting post at the Media Blog on NRO:
Don’t Call It ‘Camelot’ [Greg Pollowitz]
An insight from MB reader Julia.
In reference to this quote from this post on the latest Kurtz column . . .
“Those of us too young to have known JFK’s Camelot are going to have our own giddy Camelot II to enrapture and entertain us,” Kurt Andersen writes.
. . . Julia responds:
I’m old enough to remember that it wasn’t called “Camelot” until after JFK was shot.
It was “Camelot” because it was tragically cut short. People need to think about what they are wishing on Obama.
I’m the “Julia” mentioned in the piece. Thank you, thank you, hold the applause.
The Voters Speak
Not to sat that only Obama voters are not informed, but the American Public is very uniformed about policies of the candidates. This is not just on one side of the aisle, but this is a good interpretation of how people get their news about the candidates. The Media drives what people think is truth, and willfully neglect to show both sides evenly. And I am not only picking on Obama supporters, but to not know who runs CONgress, who Reid or Pelosi is is unbelievable.
Here is the sample from Zogby poll to go along with this video.
512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points
97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates
Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions
57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).
And yet…..
Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes
Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!
Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.
Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)
The Republicans need to find a way to get their information out there. And the best way to do that is to use the New Media; blogs, talk radio and social networks. We need to get all Conservatives to go out and get the message across to people.
