One of the truest statements of the day…

It is not Obama himself, it is those that only care about themselves and who is going to win the next American Idol, instead of looking to see what DC is doing.

I agree, partner. Shortsightedness has been turned into a virtue by the Left.

I’m not stunned, or really even saddened, by this. I’m not even discouraged.

        I’m resigned.

It just comes as an unpleasant reality to me that too many of my neighbors would (and did) sell me, and my children, out for phones, food stamps and/or the illusion of “fairness”. And they feel self-righteous in doing it, too, as if they just defeated the Borg.

I again, ultimately, go back to education. Liberal ideology is taught in schools at the earliest grades: in History, in English, heck, in Math. It’s tough to speak Objective Truth to someone who has been taught that ‘your’ truth is at best just a social construct or at worst, pure evil.

Which is why my wife and I homeschool: to give our kids the true history and context of our nation, and to prepare them to become good, strong, productive, solid men.

Probably should have had a couple DOZEN kids, now that I think about it….

Great post here. It is true that there is nothing new under the sun. We are following the road map of the Roman Empire as you rightfully point out. Let’s hope there are enough of us to stop the slide.

      I sure hope so also.

Glad you found your way over here, Cosmo. Doug manages to find some of the best graphics around, which I happily mooch from him.
      …with attribution, obviously.
      😉

Anyway, just a good place to bookmark, if you haven’t already….

Folks, as much as we want to castigate and blame the winners, the GOP actually has to make some serious upgrades in strategies and approach to stay competitive in future elections. No, we don’t need to compromise or moderate our values, but yes, we do need to rethink the entire approach of how to apply and package them to a modern world.
