BREAKING: ACORN Suspends Operations
ACORN suspends, plans audit, in wake of videos
ACORN, calling the actions of some of its employees “indefensible,” has suspended advising new clients as part of its service programs and is setting up an independent review to see what happened.
ACORN chief executive Bertha Lewis said in a written statement that she was “ordering a halt to any new intakes into ACORN’s service programs until completion of an independent review.”
Here is a good reminder that there is evil in this world. This is just uncalled for and sickens me. Nothing like this should ever happen to an innocent life. We as a society need to stomp this out and never have another Baby Brianna again. Child abuse has been around for ever and it takes the society as a whole to be vigilant to see the signs and to notify the proper authorities. This has got to stop and need to stop no. No life should be treated this way. True evil exists.
Here is the report on ACORN by Darrel Issa (CA-49).
I have not read it all, but have read the overview and the first 20 pages of the report.
Today a crazy Neo-Nazi went into the Holocaust Museum and killed a security guard. And as I scanned twitter there was a big discussion over if ths guy is a Left Wing Crazy or a Right Wing Crazy. In my mind it does not matter. He is a cold blooded murderer and should be denounced and condemned by every one. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green or whatever else you want to call yourself, violence and murder is not the answer. We saw a Religious Zealot kill a abortion doctor and a Muslim convert kill a soldier last week. All of these acts should be condemned and should not happen in a free society as ours. We do have our differences in how the government is run, or about the War On Terror, but we are all Americans. We all have the right to express our viewpoints and argue. But violence and the incitement to violence is not part of that right.
I abhor Zealots on all sides of the political spectrum. I am a Conservative and do not like the Lefts viewpoint on politics. But I do not hate anyone on the Left. They are all Americans and all have their own viewpoints. I may not agree, and may argue with them, but that does not mean that I think they are not allowed to express their views, or should be shut up. We all have our differences. There is no one that has the same viewpoint as me, I disagree with many on the Right and the Left, and I agree with a lot on the Left and the Right. I agree more with Conservative thought, but that does not mean that all on the Liberal side are wrong.
I know that we can all agree that we want the best for the country, and that none of us hate America, or are trying to destroy America. We all want our country safe and prosperous. We just have different views on how to do that. I think Conservatives are right more often, but that does not mean we have a monopoly on all things, or are more patriotic. We all love America. Does that mean that I am not going to call out Obama, or McCain or anyone I disagree with??? No. But it s that I will respect anyone’s point of view, but will most likely agree to disagree with many.
Most of what is happening now will not be totally known until a future time. So all the talk about Obama or Bush being the worst president should be left to the historians in the future. But we must look back at history to see what is going on now, remember if we do nto learn form the past, we are doomed to repeat it in the future.
Former Marine Pilot Involved in Shooting
Plantation, FL — Last week police were called to investigate an attempted armed robbery:
The 71-year-old retired Marine who opened fire on two robbers at a Plantation, FL, Subway shop late Wednesday, killing one and critically wounding the other, is described as John Lovell, a former helicopter pilot for two presidents. He doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke, and he works out everyday. Mr. Lovell was a man of action Wednesday night.
According to Plantation police, two masked gunmen came into the Subway at 1949 N. Pine Rd. just after 11 p.m. There was a lone diner, Mr. Lovell, who was finishing his meal. After robbing the cashier, the two men attempted to shove Mr. Lovell into a bathroom and rob him as well. They got his money, but then Mr. Lovell pulled his handgun and opened fire. He shot one of the thieves in the head and chest and the other in the head.
When police arrived, they found one of the men in the shop, K-9 Units found the other in the bushes of a nearby business. They also found cash strewn around the front of the sandwich shop according to Detective Robert Rettig of the Plantation Police Department.
Both men were taken to the Broward General Medical Center , where one, Donicio Arrindell, 22, of North Lauderdale died. The other, 21-year-old Frederick Gadson of Fort Lauderdale is in critical but stable condition.
A longtime friend of Lovell was not surprised to hear what happened. The friend said, ”He’d give you the shirt off his back, but he’d be mad as hell if someone tried to take the shirt off his back.” Mr. Lovell was a pilot in the Marine Corps, flying former Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He later worked as a pilot for Pan Am and Delta.
He is not expected to be charged authorities said. ”He was in fear for his life,” Detective Rettig said, “These criminals ought to realize that most men in their 70′s have military backgrounds and aren’t intimidated by idiots.”…….”"
Something tells me this old Marine wasn’t ‘in fear for his life’, even though his life was definitely at risk. The only thing he could be charged with is participating in an unfair fight. One 71 – year young Marine against two punks. Two head shots and one center body mass shot – Outstanding shooting! That’ll teach them not to get between a Marine and his meal..
Don’t you just love a story with a happy ending?
Florida law allows eligible citizens to carry a concealed weapon. Every State should.
I do not even know what tosay about this. This is one of the News of the Weird stories, but it is actually on PMSNBC.
Sex-Doll Threesome Man Gets Off
By Brian Hamacher
George Bartusek, who got freaky with two blow-up sex dolls in a grocery store parking lot, won’t do jail time, a judge has ruled.
Bartusek was let off with six months probation for his open-air synthetic threesome in a Publix Parking Lot in Cape Coral in February.
Stunned onlookers had seen the 51-year-old inappropriately touching his — ahem — companions in plain sight.
An undercover police officer was shot last night. Adding to the already high count of police shot this year. Many of the “Boys in Blue” have been shot this year and many have been killed. Over the weekend 3 were killed in Pittsburg. Luckily this officer was only grazed and will live.
St. Louis officer shot near Chouteau, Boyle
ST. LOUIS — An undercover St. Louis police officer who was shot late Sunday near Chouteau and Boyle avenues has been released from the hospital.
The officer was shot in the shoulder at 10:57 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Chouteau Avenue, and a bullet fragment grazed him above the eye. He was rushed to a local hospital by another police officer. His injuries are not life-threatening, police say.
“He is alert and talking and is going to be okay,” said Erica Van Ross, director of public information for the St. Louis Police Department. “The officer is certainly very lucky and the department is grateful.”—STLtoday
