Merry Christmas

December 25, 2011 Leave a comment

Tonight is Christmas Eve, and tomorrow is Christmas Day.   While everyone is opening gifts and feasting on meals and stuff, we need to remember what the meaning of Christmas is.    I am not a very religions person, but I also do not really care for the commercialization of Christmas either.   Christmas is not about gifts and the things that we get from others.  It is a time to be with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

It is a time to gather with loved ones and celebrate the year and to contemplate what the coming year will bring.   And also to look into ones self to see how we are doing God’s Will.  As I said before, I am not that religious of a person, but growing up Catholic (and somewhat coming back to the Church after many years), I was taught that Christmas is not about gifts, but having the gift of family and friends that love you.

So tomorrow go and open presents and eat, drink and be merry.  But remember that Christmas is not a day about just us or what presents you get, but of the birth of Jesus Christ, and the gift of having those around you that love you.

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year

The DNC has great ad about Newt

December 12, 2011 Leave a comment

You just got to love unintended consequences of political ads.    This only helps Newt and makes the DNC look foolish.  They do not understand what the Tea Party is and keep on doing the same class warfare tactics that will push more to Newt and the GOP.    Thanks DNC

Pearl Harbor

December 7, 2011 Leave a comment

Today is the anniversary of the “Day that will live in infamy”. My grandpa was in medical school at the time. But if he had not gone to medical school, he would have been at the barracks at Hickam Field on that fateful day.  I may have never met my grandpa.   Many did not have it as lucky as I did.  Many lost family members that day; brothers, sons, cousins, wives, husbands, fathers , mothers and friernds.

We must never forget that we are not isolated and will never be attacked, 9/11 proved it again in 2001.   We must never forge those that sacrificed their lives that day.  The USS Arizona and other ships that lay in Pearl Harbor will eventually erode away, but that day should never erode from our minds.

Herman Cain has suspended his campaign, but is not just riding off into the sunset.   He is going to start a new organization to spread the word about his solutions for the United States of America>

God Bless Herman Cain and his family.

Daughter

December 3, 2011 Leave a comment
My daughter just walked into the living room and said, “Dad, cancel my allowance immediately,
rent my room out, throw all my clothes out of the window, take my TV, stereo, iPhone, iPod,
and my laptop.  Please take all of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash Converters.
Then sell my new car.  Take my front door key away from me and throw me out of the house.
Then disown me and never talk to me again.  And don’t forget to write me out of your will
and leave my share to my brother.”

Well, she didn’t put it quite like that.  She actually said…

“Dad I have decided to work for Obama’s re-election campaign.”
