Stonehenge mystery solved?

October 31, 2009 2 comments

Very interesting (and simple)
answer to the question of how did they do it?

This might even have ramifications for the building of:  the pyramids, the temple of Solomon , etc.

Stonehenge mystery solved?

For hundreds, maybe thousands of years, people have been trying to figure out how primitive people could build huge structures such as Stonehenge and the pyramids out of stone blocks weighing thousands of pounds.  Scientists have been stumped.
Then along comes a normal guy – a retired construction worker – and he says, “Well, I would do it like this.” And he does. This guy uses the simplest tools known to man and shows how simple and easy it would have been to create Stonehenge .
This is a really great video clip. Amazing how this guy could figure out something that has confounded scholars for centuries.  He not only figures it out, but demonstrates it!
This Michigan guy could build a replica of Stonehenge single-handedly, while a committee of 20 or 30 Civil Engineering professors from leading Universities would be debating how it might be done.  ‘ Stonehenge Reloaded’.
Take a look.

Dede Scozzafava drops out

October 31, 2009 1 comment

Geez on a Saturday of usual relaxation, we have a big story coming out of the #NY23 race.   Dede Scozzafava has dropped out of the race after Doug Hoffman suges in the polls and is neck and neck with Owens.

I just hope that this will give some pause in the RNC for baking Liberal Republicans in very Conservative districts in the future.   Dede was not supported by the base of Republicans in the Ny 23 District and Hoffman should have been the GOP’s candidate in the first place.

from 73 Wire

Breaking news: DeDe has dropped out of the race here in the NY-23. A source close to the Hoffman campaign confirms to 73wire.com that DeDe Scozzafava has bowed out of the race. According to reports she got very emotional while addressing her supporters and thanking them for their support. Stay tuned to 73wire for more details and audio of Dede addressing supporters.

From the Watertown Daily Times

Dede Scozzafava, the Republican and Independence parties candidate, announced Saturday that she is suspending her campaign for the 23rd Congressional District and releasing all her supporters.

The state Assemblywoman has not thrown her support to either Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate, or Bill Owens, the Democratic candidate.

“Today, I again seek to act for the good of our community,” Ms. Scozzafava wrote in a letter to friends and supporters. “It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.”

This just shows that the Conservative Movement is alive and well.  We do have the power to change the local elections and bring back some sanity in DC and the RNC.
