The Iraqi Elections

January 30, 2005 Leave a comment

A great video of the Iraqi elections set to the music of Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man.

This is truly an amazing victory for freedom around the world and a devestating defeat to terrorists that want to bring Iraq back to the Middle Ages. I am so happy for the Iraqi people nad want to wish them luck in their adventure into a democratic society. It will be a beacon of hope and inspiration for the Muslim world.

They gave the finger to the naysayers her in the US and arould the worls. And none of this would have happened if we listened to the Democrats and naysayers around the world. The wolrd will be better off with a free and democratic Iraq.

East St. Louis Officials Taken Into Custody

January 23, 2005 Leave a comment

From KMOX.

This is truly amazing. Voter fraud in ESL. I never would have thought that.

I think I could have investigated this one. I was a poll watcher in ESL one year and saw lots of shanannigans going on. Peopple would vote, and then goninto a guys car for a few minutes to get money drugs, or something else. I couldn’t see in the car because the windows were tinted, so if I called the State’s Attourney office, they would be gone by the time they got there.

Hopefully this will get rid of the corruption in St. Clair County. I doubt it, but it will make people think maybe a little more. Every election day it is truly a tragedy here, because of all the fraud.
Even the people from Chicago make fun of how corrupt St. Clair county is.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) __ Federal agents took several East St. Louis city officials into custody Friday. Authorities would not name the officials or say why they were detained, but the Belleville News-Democrat reported that Police Chief Ron Matthews and his secretary were among them.

White House Blasts Dems for Condi Delay

January 22, 2005 Leave a comment

From Newsmax

More sour grapes conduct from the Democrats. Are they ever going to learn that these kind of tactics are only playing into the hands of the republicans. Just look at Tom Daschle to see what people think of people holding up the Senate. Condi Rice is qualified and will be a grat Secratary of State and KKK Byrd puts a stop to here confirmation. What BS!!!!!

White House Blasts Dems for Condi Delay

A day after ex-Ku Klux Klansman Robert Byrd forced the full Senate to delay a confirmation vote for the first African-American woman ever nominated as Secretary of State, White House chief of staff Andrew Card blasted Senate Democrats for playing “petty politics.”

According to the Boston Herald, Card said that the insult would not soon be forgotten, warning Democrats that they “are poisoning any hopes for bipartisanship.”

Late Wednesday, Sen. Byrd announced his decision to put the brakes on Dr. Rice’s confirmation, complaining through his spokesman: “The Senate Committee on Foreign Relations has held two days of hearings. Senators should have a chance to review those hearings, read the transcripts, and think about their votes before casting them.

Poll: Iraqi Vote Turnout to Top U.S.’s

January 22, 2005 Leave a comment

From Newsmax

This is interesting. I thought that everone over in Iraq didn’t want us there and were not going to vote because of the violence. Oh I was just reading and watching the MSM. they do not know what the hell is going on in Iraq and only report on the bad stuff going on over there. Maybe if they would get away from the liberal bias that might see this, but I won’t hold my breathe.

Poll: Iraqi Vote Turnout to Top U.S.’s

While the U.S. press continues to predict that Iraq’s first election in decades will be illegitimate because violence will keep many Iraqis away from the polls, the voters themselves are telling a different story.

A whopping 80 percent of eligible Iraqis now say they intend to vote, amidst threats of bombings, kidnappings, beheadings – and reports that election workers are afraid to show up to carry out their official duties.
The remarkably high turnout – if it comes to pass – would mean that a third more Iraqis will vote in their election than voted in the U.S. last November, where turnout was 60 percent.

Officials Mum on Rumored Zarqawi Capture

January 22, 2005 Leave a comment

From Newsmax

I will believe this when I see it. We have had many cases of false reporting on the capturing of high profile terrorists. Maybe we will find out later this week. Hopefully it is true that he is captured, but I wouldn’t put my money on it.

Officials Mum on Rumored Zarqawi Capture

Iraq’s interior minister on Saturday refused to comment on rumors that the top terror leader in the country had been taken into custody.

“I wouldn’t like to comment for the time being,” Interior Minister Falah al-Naqib said when asked about rumors that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had been arrested. “Let’s see. Maybe in the next few days we will make a comment about it.”
